The dad was pretty cool too, IMO. Lydia was the worst,

Ehhhh, he did a good job helping to alienate the elite,

And he was kind of mean to his wife!

The mum is my hero. I love how on the back of my copy of the book it describes her as "garrulous and empty-headed", So apt. The father came across as pretty intelligent, I thought, so you have to wonder how he ended up marrying someone like Mrs. Bennet. Anyway, as I told Aaron, you have to watch the BBC adaptation, Theresa! The Keira movie can't hold a torch to it. I just found it painful watching that. Keira was woefully miscast (the way she portrayed Elizabeth would've more suited Lydia), the family was made out to be really poor, which was weird, and they all carry on like sluts when they're out and about, No decorum whatsoever. That's just not how it was in the book!

So, "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times"?

It was Tommy's suggestion,

Someone told me that Water for Elephants is a really good book.

I've actually heard the same.

Do we want to give it a go? I've no idea if Kevin is still interested, or if Thomas is back from Spain. I'm so out of the loop,

Tsk, I suggested War and Peace, not A Tale of Two Cities, But giving the classics a miss this time might be better. This Water for Elephants does look interesting! And if it makes you feel better, I got back from Spain on Wednesday evening and came back to Rhyl yesterday,
